Stripes is one of the strongest fashion trend. Be it the horizontal, vertical, monochrome or colored, it has always made a statement. Some people co-relate stripes more to men but it has been equally loved by women too. Some people believe in top-to-toe stripe dress while most people love to combine it with bright colors. Whether you look at Marc Jacobs or Dolce & Gabbana spring/summer 2013 collection, stripes were everywhere on the runway.
There are certain tricks of wearing them, like if you are fat than stripes going around the body will make you look thin although taller women can try wearing vertical stripes. You may have heard, horizontal stripes will make you look fat? Forget it. I guess this rule doesn’t exist any more. Don’t use stripes as an entire outfit rather add stripes in form of tee, shirt or blazer. Monochromatic stripes will help you look lean and simple, so safest is to try them.
I believe if you look and feel good in any outfit then no one has right to make a point. Wear stripes and flaunt with confidence.

Wish you all a great week ahead. Would love to know your attempt with ‘The Stripe Trend’.
I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend so far.
Polka dot and stripes are both of my favorite prints. I thought of attempting them together and this beautiful chiffon shirt totally stole my heart.
It is trendy, flawless and seasonal. It is one great selection for my summer wardrobe. When it comes to mixing print, it is best to keep it simple. White and black color best compliment mix of polka dot and stripes. I have styled it with red pump and elegant red handbag.
Hope you all like the shots taken near Toronto’s Harbourfront on a beautiful Monday morning.
Thank you so much for reading.

I had a really hectic weekend with not much time to relax. I am really looking forward for my vacation which will probably be in Vegas with my husband. Let’s see when I actually go there but it is going to be my dream vacation.
Coming to my weekend #whatiwore outfit, I choose CORAL power.
I bought this cotton coral jacket this summer and I just love wearing it. I paired it up with simple white and gray striped t-shirt and matching coral ballerina. Boyfriend jeans added required contrast to the complete outfit.
Hope you enjoy this style.
